Fourth Erasmus + project meeting in Valencia, Spain

In the week of May 15 to 21, the Erasmus students came here, to Spain. Like their countries, Latvians, Croats and Germans came. And now, my partner Iker Quiñonero Contelles and me, Antonio Cantos Prieto are going to tell you what activities we did to help the planet in the project Schools for Future.

On Monday, as soon as they arrived at 9 in the morning, in the chapel we welcomed them, the director and the study's king did a explication for the things that we went at do in Spain, and other classmates did us one text for welcome and explain us the things that we went at do. and we introduced them to how the week was going to be and what we were going to do throughout it. After this, we divided into different groups and we gave them a tour of the school starting in the porteria and ending in the laboratory. We pass for the eater, laboratory, chaptle, our patio, the small kids patio, the infantile class, the primary class, the secondary class, the gallinero, and the terrace.

There we had lunch and then we started with the projects. There were three projects that were to paint on the cloth bags that gave us one of the objectives of sustainable development, to make recycled paper, we did it for the next day, draw in the paper, and a ball of earth to throw them away so that plants could grow, we did this with different products for throw it in the neighborhood the next day, we did like 300 balls. And so Monday ended, then we had free time all afternoon.

On Tuesday, we also arrived at school at 9, and we went around the neighborhood, specifically to the vacant lots in the neighborhood to launch the earth balls that we made the day before with a slingshot, possibly plants are growing right now, we finished the box with the 300 balls. We did this activity with the teaches Xuano and Carmen Prieto, that was a so good activity.

After being in 3 or 4 different vacant lots and finishing the dirt balls, we went back to class, where after lunch, we started with the projects, which were also 3: the first was about how it was recycled in each country that participated in the project, we did this project for that the people to the other countries knew how recycle on the other countries. in which a game was also made, the second project was about painting the recycled paper made the day before, and the last project was about how to have a healthy diet for know what things we eat on the countries. At 1:15 p.m. we finished, we went home to eat and at 3:15 p.m. we finished the projects again. And so it ended on Tuesday. Later, all of us we went to play Bolling and the recreative, and lunch in the burger King that was a so good day for us, tomorrow more.

On Wednesday we all went to school in the morning and from there we walked to the center of Valencia. When we arrived we started showing them the Serranos Towers, we climbed to the highest of them, in Fallas the Cridá is celebrated in these towers which is when the major falleras give a speech and give the beginning to the fallas, in addition these towers were one of the entrances of the old Valencia and was accompanied by a great wall that defended the city from enemy attacks. And they let us take pictures and then we went through places to see how for example the central market, in which we entered and saw how it is inside, we also entered the City Hall and went up to the balcony, there, is where in the fallas the major falleras give the beginning to the mascletá, all the falleros,  and guests, you can go to see the mascletá. In addition to entering the main hall of the City Hall and more rooms.

In the afternoon, all the participants in the erasmus, we went to the beach, there we had a great time, and we could get to know even more, other students of the project. In that afternoon all the students decided to go to the beach so that our exchanges could see it and could enjoy this place that is the most important of the Valencians. They liked it very much and we had a great time all together.

ln Thursday morning we were picked up by a bus and taken to the Albufera. The formation of the Albufera took place 1.8 million years ago as a result of the closure of the gulf or bay of the Valencian coast by a coastal cord. The definitive separation between the Albufera and the sea occurred during Roman times. When we arrived we were divided into two groups and each group with a monitor. The first thing they did was tell us a little about the history of the Albufera taking a walk through a town visiting monuments of the origins of the Albufera such as the barracks that were old buildings where those who stayed in the town lived and were dedicated to fishing or hunting. When the small tour ended we got on boats and took a walk along the river until we reached a workshop that had prepared us to make paellas, it was a contest where we did not have a great time, and after the vote we ate them. When the workshop was over, the bus picked us up and took us to the forest and from there they took us on a tour of the mountain, and also of the beach.

In the afternoon, we went for a walk around the neighborhood and there, we were able to fix some differences that we had during the week, but once everything was fixed, we enjoyed this experience again.

On Friday a bus picked us up and with it we went to Sagunto. In Sagunto, we divided into two groups, and with those two groups, they explained everything about the city to us. We started with a tour of the city where a monitor was telling us about different monuments and about the history of Sagunto, they were very interesting data since he was talking about thousands of years ago and explained to us the reason for the current situation of the city. Later we visited a museum where the monitor that accompanied us stopped us by different relics that had been found and preserved from the beginning of the city until now, for example they showed us the cradle with the bones of a child who died. In addition, we were able to visit the Colosseum, it was refurbished since it had been there for many years, and not long ago, our roommates performed a play for us. Finally we visited the castle, we climbed to the top of the castle where we saw incredible views of the city, as well as ruins that remained for many years. It was an incredible experience that made us learn a lot about the city of Sagunto.

In the afternoon, we all went downtown together, so they could see a little more of the city and buy souvenirs for their families. At night, we all went to dinner together where we had an incredible time and were able to say goodbye to this incredible and unforgettable week for our lives.
